Health Checks (Servicing for your Laptop / computer)

Our Health Checks are aimed at providing peace of mind that your computer will be thoroughly checked and should any problems arise and we are there to either sort out the problems there and then or book a time to come back or fix the problem(s) in our shop. The following checks will be performed: -

• Check Anti MalWare systems; Make sure AntiVirus, Firewall and AntiSpyWare systems are in place and up-to-date
• Full system scan for MalWare; Look for Virus and, Trojan Horses, Worms, SpyWare, AdWare and SneakyWare
• Fragmentation Analysis; Over a period of time during the use of your computer the files become fragmented meaning it takes longer to load a program or a file ie; performance degradation and eventually system failure
• Performance; Make sure your system is performing to the best of it abilities
• Remove unused or unwanted software; Releases space and makes it easier to find what you want when you want it and increases the performance of the machine
• Windows integrity check; Make sure there isn't a potentially serious problem with the operating system
• Windows update; Check with Microsoft to see if there are any patches for your computer

Normally this takes between 2 and 5 hours depending on your computer specifications. We charge 45,00 Euro (inc. IVA) for however long it takes (excluding call out fees).

 

Virus Protection and Removal

As you are aware, virus is a small program, which can cause severe productivity loss by deleting/corrupting data and important files. Sometimes it even goes to the extent of rendering your computer non-working.
You can protect your system from such a disaster by installing a good anti-virus program. This in turn will monitor the file operations and e-mails effectively. It will prevent the virus from entering your system and causing severe damage.
We have anti-virus solutions for stand-alone computers, network servers as well as LAN nodes. If virus has already infected your computers, we can provide virus-cleaning services to eliminate the virus lurking in your system.
Tip: The anti-virus program needs to be updated frequently as new viruses(virii) keep on appearing at an alarming rate.
You can also get very effective Anti-virus software for your email server. This will eliminate the virus at the email server level and not let it reach up to the individual desktop.
